The waves emitted by mobile phones can cause damage to the brain, heart or kidneys.
But they would also have a detrimental effect on sperm motility, concentration and viability.

"Phones are ubiquitous these days and experts are constantly debating the pros and cons of this device. But can cell phones affect male fertility?"
This is the question posed by scientists at Pusan National University in South Korea. To determine whether exposure to electromagnetic waves emitted by telephones had an impact on the quality of sperm, they carried out work, the results of which were published in the journal Environmental Research.
For the purposes of the study, the researchers reviewed 435 research published between 2012 and 2021. They focused on 18 works, which included 4,280 semen samples.

A link between cell phone use and reduced sperm quality

The verdict is in: "Exposure to waves from mobile phones is associated with a reduction
of sperm motility, viability and concentration".

The study authors have investigated whether a longer exposure time to the waves emitted by telephones was linked to a lower quality of sperm.

They found that decreased semen quality was not significantly associated with exposure time, but only to cell phone wave exposure itself.
